Page – I catch myself in a word until now that in spite of appeared chance to read the books in electronic view, I’d rather turn over the paper pages. And it is unlikely to do it on the site without electronic pages.

Address – It’s lucky that everyone has the home address practically, but happily, not everybody requires the electronic address.

Lamer – we are first, who started to use this word, and then things began to take off…

User – generally, we are all users, somebody farther, and somebody lesser.

Language – I am asking often on interview, which programming languages do you know? It is good, that most every know the natural language and we have the good instrument for communication together. However, there is in programming both in the life the dead languages.

Interface – Certainly, the word is ours, but I heart once or twice like that: “she has an unbelievable interface!”

Graphic – I mean about the computer graphic, however there are still pictures, which have the graphical presentations and this, as a rule, looks very adequately. Sometimes it is more adequately than on the computer monitor.

Virus – anyway, this phenomenon is unpleasant in computer system both in human.

Architect – I know the real professionals in this case. There are architects, which design the buildings and design the software. I have a special relation to this word. It rises for me to all others, already of itself.

I don’t know whether there is any use to explode a myth to the affect that majority of programmers are incapable of communicate totally. It is possible, there is a grain of truth in that, nevertheless we are same different as accountants, managers, state employers, etc. Certainly, the occupation leaves one’s stamp on person. For example, when I talk with accountants, I think they don’t feel words completely, but understand the numbers very good and this is fact. As rule, they have nothing intuitive and approximate both at work and in private. Accordingly, programmers spend a work day in close collaboration with computer and sometimes with two computers simultaneously. And computers, as we know, cannot speak and ask, but if they can do it then it is soundless on the level “OK”, “CANCEL”, etc. Really, I’m facing sometimes that it is difficult to tie the words into the fine sentences after heavy work day, but it happens not always. I catch myself at that I keep the good, rich and pleasant words for other reasons, for example: for communication with beloved wife, for viewing a football match with friends in order to comment the actions of players hard or vice versa with approval. Yes, certainly, I envy often who is master of words. I’m glad to have any chance to talk with such people, but I have drawn a conclusion: as rule, they have scholarship; they are authors of interesting articles, copyrighters, actors, etc. I admire their mastery, and they, as rule, mine, for example: to type virtuosic on keyboard. They admire especially, when a computer is broken and they fill themselves near it as before of technical rocket control panel. Here I’m sitting silently and rehabilitating their system and they are speaking something at this time, and it is so great to hear the encouraging words about yourself. I’m savoring each word quietly. Let that speak better who can do it really in proper manner!

What are the gifts for a programmer? To be honest I don’t know plainly.

May be this is a cup for warming of brown liquid (tee) in order to not get up from the table.

May be these are huge headphones in order not listen not programmers (accountant and his assistants, logistics managers, managers and secretaries).

May be this is such stylish flash card, but not, this is more for girls…

May be this is a comfortable bag in order to pull the notebook behind you. Generally, you can get caught in such present: set aside the color of eyes, miss your guess about the favorite kind of skin, and not finish counting of the necessary amount of pockets, parts, etc.

Here! A chair! And certainly, with the orthopedic back. Super!

There are still not so serious, but much desired gifts. For example, there is a radio-controlled toy car. It was verified – it brings the coordination of movements to perfection. We have driven with wife till 3 o’clock in the night around the apartment. It is very enthralling!

The good gift is a book, but it is risky. You can miss your guess with content and thickness.

CD box is a normal gift, only it can be not matched for interior.

There is still a category of stupid gifts: ridiculous mouse pads, funny ties and neutral “Parker”-pens.

Summary: the best top-class gifts are not for programmer, but for a concrete person, that is for personality.

The other day I was offered a job in London. Sure thing that the text was written maximal fine. I made in turn a list of mandatory questions, the picture was clearer sure enough thereafter, unfortunately no such fine.

The amount was pointed without taxes and they are about 30%. I think that it is rather much totally and no a need to go in London for this.
There is still a peculiarity: you rent a flat and pay the public services. I gathered information regarding this. It is about 100-150 pounds monthly. A piece of cake!

Generally, there are still a whole lot of different peculiarities: with contract, payment, visa, etc.

I drew a conclusion – home is best.

I hold in high respect the magazine “Xakep”. It is purchased in Ukraine more problematical than in Russia, therefore each number on my work table is a little win.

Here an August number made indignant me a little. It is necessary to write articles about cult persons of IT world more interesting. It was turned out cold. I think that it could be write richer about Kris Kaspersky and Eugene Kaspersky. Though, the idea is excellent to compare hacker with fighter for viruses, which surnames are different only in one letter (in Russian). Generally, it is not grateful thing to write the biographies in my opinion, but it can be distinguished by wish.
